Guidance for the Chefs
Category 1: Traditional chili
No vegetables only meat, seasonings and stock.
Category 2: Midwestern chili
Includes vegetables, beans etc. along with meat, seasonings and stock
Contestant check in: 1:30 pm-judging 2 pm.
Please bring your hot chili in a crockpot or similar vessel.
Each category to be judged by the Bashful Bison Sandwich Shop, Market and Catering, opening soon in the Hay Camp Commons.
Suggested chili volume for the challenge: 2 lbs meat/protein to allow for judging and general sampling by all.
Sides critical to the taste profile of your chili such as sour cream, cheese etc. are OK and welcome.
Cornbread side will be supplied by Hay Camp as will bowls, spoons, napkins etc.
