Join us for the STEAM Café this month! This month’s STEAM talk, “National Security Innovation Network: Problem Solving through University and Community Partnerships”, will be presented by Jason Combs, program director of the National Security Innovation Network at SD Mines.
Universities across the nation work with the Department of Defense (DoD) to solve real-world problems through the National Security Innovation Network (NSIN). In the past year, NSIN has helped Ellsworth Air Force Base engage with universities across the country, including SD Mines. In the upcoming year, Mines is expanding its partnership with NSIN to include senior design opportunities, expansion of the Hacking 4 Defense course, DoD Lab Hirethons, and X-Force Fellowships for the summer of 2022. Jason Combs, program director of the NSIN at Mines, will discuss current and upcoming projects with Mines, as well as the NSIN’s plans for partnership with local technology businesses in the Black Hills.
